Day Three

Its sunday, and all the shops are closed. But the museums and parks are still open. Its sunny and hot outside, like summer in Sweden. One of the most famous artists in Spain is Antoni Gaudi. There is a park that serves as a museum showing off Gaudis creations. In thevpark are lot of houses designed by Gaudi, but there are also many flowers and herbs. And in the palm trees live green parakeets. We went down park Güell and took the subway to plaza de Cataluña. From there we walked back to our apartment.
Later we went down to the docks and visited what is said to be, the worlds largest aquarium. There you can see many different kinds of fish, shellfish, octopusses, sharks, penguins, iguanas and axolotls. It was a great experience!
Next to the aquarium was a big shopping mall named MareMagnum. There were a lot of clothing and jewelry shops, and Disa bought some presents for her friends. We later had dinner at a restaurant named ''7 Portas''
Now its night, and tomorrow we return to Sweden.

Day Two

In our backyard, are two cats who look just like the cats that Manne have at home. One is completely black and the other is black with white paws.
Today we bought many different things. There are a lot of funny shops in Barcelona! You can buy everything. Clothes, shoes, jewelry, sweet bread and cookies. And there are cafés and restaurants around every corner. They have a museum about Picasso here in Barcelona, it was very beautiful. We saw pictures that he painted from when he was 14 to when he was 70. Picasso also liked doves.
After that, we visited a church named Santa Maria which had very beautifully painted windows.
We had dinner at a very well known and elegant Restaurant named ''Botafumeiro''. Disa ate a tasty vegetarian paella with asparagus and artichokes.
Here we found a recipe for a 200 man paella.
Now we are really tired, Good Night.

Day One

We've finally arrived, in Barcelona! Its spring, the temperature is around 18 degrees and its sunny. We live in an apartment in the middle of the city next to the very long street ''Las Ramblas''. Las Ramblas is the most famous street in all of Barcelona. There are tapas bars, cafés, artists that draw pictures and flower shops. lots of pickpockets too, so watch your back.
We started out by going to a tapas bar, they had lots of food that you eat with your fingers. Chorizo, Salami, salchichas and many different kinds of cheese. Tasty!
Later we went to a fish restaurant. It was big and kind of a tourist trap. Our waiter was a bit drunk and presented a HUGE plate of fish and seafood for an outrageous price. 50 Euros a person. That's 500 swedish crowns!
We denied it and instead ordered some other fish for half the price. The restaurant had tourists from all over the world. Between the tables walked a musician who played famous songs on a accordion.

Tercer Dia

Finalmente hemos llegado! A Barcelona.
